Terrain data to make better decisions

We measure with drones, LiDAR and photogrammetry. You receive what you need to design, build or control.

3-step guide

Tell us about your project

Step 1 of 3

What do you want to obtain?

Our process

How we work

Four steps, from the first conversation to the files on your computer.

  1. Air Mapping office with meeting table

You tell us about the project

Location, what the data will be used for and the software you work with.

  2. Drone with LiDAR sensor ready to fly

    We plan the capture

We choose the method, flight height and ground control, and check the airspace.

  3. Point cloud of a house and its surroundings

    We process and analyse

We georeference, classify and generate the agreed products.

  4. Topographic plan with contour lines

    We review and deliver

Quality control and delivery of the files with a report on how they were obtained.

Method

Two ways of seeing the terrain

No method is best in every case. We choose according to vegetation, surface and deliverable.

LiDAR point cloud coloured by elevation
PhotogrammetryLiDAR
  • Vegetation

Sees what is on top: canopies and roofs.

Some pulses reach the ground between the leaves.

  • Colour and texture

Real imagery and orthomosaic as standard.

Provides geometry; colour needs a separate camera.

  • Best for

    Open ground, mapping, 3D models.

Ground under trees, slopes and complex relief.

Examples of each method. On mixed terrain they are sometimes combined. See the full comparison

Work

The terrain, in layers of data

A single flight produces several layers. Each answers a different question, and all of them can be opened in your software.

  1. OrthomosaicWhat the terrain looks like, to scale.
  2. Point cloudWhere every point is, in 3D.
  3. Elevation modelWhat heights the terrain has.
  4. Contour linesHow to read the relief on a plan.

ARQ LiDARNew

Archaeology with LiDAR and AI

Discover what vegetation hides: the true ground relief, analysed for heritage.

  • Relief visualisations that reveal hidden structures
  • AI-assisted detections reviewed by an expert
  • Export to GIS and field GPS (KML, GeoJSON, CSV)
